If you’re looking for light in the darkness, look no further than the First Amendment – the most important words in the world right now. They’re saving the world. These words permit us to do what we do:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

That is the First Amendment. Straight Up. Non-Partisan.

Listen to those words. Learn those words. Live those words. Bring them forward through your art, through your diverse voices. That’s what changes the world.

The First Amendment allows us to use the art of film to convey stories of truth that in turn inspire audiences to cherish and protect the First Amendment. To protect our right to speak freely, and our right to challenge the powerful.

These words bestow a responsibility: to use art to protect our right to create art.
